The deadline for abstracts is 5.4.2026, 23:59 h.
All abstracts submitted are subject to review. Only those that receive a positive review will be accepted for poster or oral presentation and printed as papers in their entirety in the proceedings (M30).
Authors will be notified of review results by 12.4.2026. For authors whose abstracts are accepted, the deadline for sending the works as a whole is 26.4.2026, 23:59 h.
Please carefully study the preparation instructions provided below:
All abstracts are sent exclusively by electronic mail to the email address abstract@karnef.org. The title of the message must include the name and surname of the lead author, as well as the name of the institution where he works. Attach a file containing the abstract itself in MS Word for Windows format to the email message. Page size should be A4 (210x297mm), with left and right margins of 3cm, orientation "Portrait", font Arial, font size 10 (without exceptions for titles etc.)
On the first page, provide the following information:
Name, surname, name and address of the institution, contact address, telephone number and email address of the lead author
Names, surnames and names of institutions (including addresses) of co-authors
Serial number and name of the selected Congress/Symposium thematic area
Title of the paper-abstract in English and Serbian
Important: DO NOT use abbreviations in the title of the paper, except when absolutely necessary.
The second page should contain:
Title of the paper-abstract in English and Serbian;
Text of the abstract in English and Serbian.
Important: On the other side, do NOT list the names of authors, co-authors and institutions where they work. Abbreviations, if used, should be defined at their first appearance in the text (whereby the abbreviation should be stated in parentheses), and those that are not generally accepted should be avoided. Use SI (Systeme Internationale) units whenever possible.
The abstract can have a maximum of 30 lines. Divide the abstract into the following sections:
Introduction
Materials and methods
Results
Conclusion

All submitted works are assumed to be previously unpublished, unless explicitly stated.
It is necessary that each author has participated sufficiently in the work in order to take responsibility for the content of the work. Participating in the work involves design or analysis and interpretation of data or both.
Papers are submitted as Microsoft Word documents.
Text
The order of the text should be as follows:
Front page containing:
Title
Topic and its serial number
Author and co-authors data
The name and other data (address, phone, fax, email address) of the main author should be underlined.
Abstract maximum length of 250 words in Serbian and English language should be o the separate page. Abstract should contain of four paragraphs: introduction, patients and methods, results and conclusion.
Keywords: not more than 6 words which are characterizing the topic of the paper.
The next pages: introduction, patients and methods, results, discussion, references, tables, legend of images and tables. All pages should be numbered. Main headings should be on a separate line. All statistical methods should be described in detail in the patients and methods section, and any methods not commonly known should be fully explained or supported by references.
Tables
Tables should be on separate pages after the list of references. All tables must be numbered and each should have its own short title. The text should contain references to tables which must be simple and the information contained in the tables should not be repeated in the text.
Images
Images should be either included in the work or submitted as *.tif files. Required resolution: 1200 dpi for drawings and 300 dpi for color images. If the image is sent as a *.tif file, the file name should contain the image number and its title.
Example: Image_3_Distribution_of_blood_pressure_within_24h.
Whenever possible, the image should fit within the width of one column of text, which is 80 mm.
Abbreviations
Abbreviations should not be used in titles. Authors are advised to avoid excessive use of uncommon abbreviations.
Scientific measurement units
All scientific units of measurement must be in SI units.
References
References should be numbered in the order in which they appear in the text. At the end of the paper there should be a complete list of references where all authors are named, unless there are six or more when only the first three authors should be listed. The names of the authors should be followed by the title of the paper, the name of the journal, the year of publication, the issue number and the number of the first and last pages of the paper.
